PROPOSED NEW ERECTION OF A SINGLE STOREY MARKET AT TECK WHYE AVENUE
Located beside Blk 146 Teck Whye Avenue, this is a greenfield project, where construction took place on a plot of empty land. The construction involves a single-storey market annex consisting of eight dry market stores to expand the existing Teck Whye Market at Blk 146. The superstructure is constructed from H-beams, which are fabricated and installed by Tang's Engineering, our in-house steel specialist.
Key challenges include a lack of working space for the new market, which borders the existing food court and an active open-air car park. Additionally, deep excavation is required beside the live car park for the new lead-in pipes to the CSR.
